Liberators, friends, brothers and all Rwandans.
We send you our warm greetings in the terms of the FDLR motto: that justice, peace, reconciliation and
prosperity which languish all Rwandans be a reality for all of you.
April 6, 1994 – April 06, 2020: 26 years have passed since an unspeakable misfortune fell on Rwanda when, on the night of April 6 to 7, 1994, around 8:30 p.m., the RWANDAN PATRIOTIC FRONT (RPF-INKOTANYI) shot down the plane carrying the Head of State Juvenal HABYARIMANA and his counterpart of BURUNDI Cyprien NTARYAMIRA as well as all their entourage and the crew members who lost their lives in that terrorist act.
The plane carrying the president of RWANDA was shot down during its approach to KANOMBE airport in KIGALI while the two HUTU presidents were returning from DAR-ES-SALAM in TANZANIA where a meeting was held with regional presidents to examine the implementation of the ARUSHA peace agreement of August 4, 1993 between the government of Rwanda and the RPF-INKOTANYI. The RPF-INKOTANYI decided to commit this heinous act of terrorism to immediately resume the fighting and take all power by force, thus rendering the ARUSHA agreement null and void whatever its consequences, in particular the confrontation of the Rwandan people.
In a conspiracy of some of the most powerful countries in the world, instead of helping the Rwandan government to deal with the problems that the RPF-INKOTANYI was causing in the country, they imposed an arms embargo on Rwanda, abandoned the Rwandan people and supported the RPFINKOTANYI in carrying out its plan in an unprecedented bloodbath which unfortunately continues to this day.
Let us take a minute of silence to honor the memory of all these innocent people.
Liberators and friends of the FDLR.
As we commemorate the 26th anniversary of the date on which the RPF-INKOTANYI unleashed the tragedy that bereaved Rwanda and the Rwandans, we keep in mind that many Rwandans have been deprived of their right to remember their relatives in order to mourn, but on the contrary were forced to remember only the Tutsi victims of the atrocities that the RPF-INKOTANYI itself brought to Rwanda and in which the foreign countries mentioned above played an important role in helping him to dedicate April 7 as the starting date of the Tutsi genocide and considering that April 6 has no value in the history of Rwanda. It’s a shame. The struggle we are waging aims at revealing the TRUTH among Rwandans, restore its value to history and that all Rwandans without any exclusion can feel at home in complete freedom.
The RPF-INKOTANYI regime has not stopped using all its power to deceive the whole world by proclaiming its deeds and yet its heinous and shameful acts of atrocity against its people and its neighbors have largely revealed its true image.
This is why we continue to urge all those who are determined to genuinely fight for the truth, to remain firm and courageous in order to continue to fight for all those against whom this RPF-INKOTANYI regime continues to commit unheard-of atrocities, so that the oppressed are restored to their rights, that equitable justice is established and that there is equitable development for all. We thank the liberators and friends who continue to fight tirelessly for this ideal. Let us trust in God and be fair in all our actions.
TRUTH will triumph.
LONG LIVE TO RWANDA AND THE RWANDANS.
LONG LIVE TO THE FDLR
LONG LIVE TO THE LIBERATORS AND FRIENDS OF THE FDLR.
Dated April 01, 2020
Interim President of the FDLR
